Read this as it might save someone’s life, family members, friends, whoever …. Blood Clots/Stroke?
They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the “Tongue”
?
I will continue to forward this every time it comes around!

STROKE:?Remember the 1st Three Letters …..?S.T.R.

If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.
Seriously..

Please read:

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall – she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) …she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening

Ingrid’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital – (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don’t die. they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this…

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the ’3′ steps,?STR?. Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S?*Ask the individual to SMILE.

T?*Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today)

R?*Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency numberimmediately?and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke ——– Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another ‘sign’ of a stroke is this: Ask the person to ‘stick’ out his tongue.. If the tongue is ‘crooked’, if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.?

I have done my part. Have you?
????????????????

I came across very helpful tips and it will work to protect you and your love one at home or anywhere, read below.

What to take to bed with you – not a joke. Pretty neat idea. Never thought of it before. Put your car keys beside your bed at night.

Assuming that you have a vehicle that has a remote controlled alarm system. Tell your spouse, your children, your neighbors, your parents, the Dr’s office, the check-out girl at the market, everyone you run across. Put your car keys beside your bed at night.

If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off, or the car battery dies.

This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and start to put your keys away, think of this:

It’s a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain.

It works if you park in your driveway or garage. If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar, or rapist won’t stick around. After a few seconds,…. all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there,…… and sure enough the criminal won’t want that.

And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

P.S. I am sending this to everyone I know, because, I think it’s fantastic. It Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can’t reach a phone.

My Mom has suggested to my Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside, and she doesn’t hear him.. He can activate the car alarm and then she’ll know there’s a problem.

Please pass this on, even IF you’ve read it before. It’s a good reminder;

Although I have not heard about this flu before, it appear to he similar to the H5N1 or so call bird flu. The killing appear to be much greater than the bird flu according to latest media news. The scary this is it spread to the US now.
